All services and meetings have been suspended until further notice. We will update all information as and when we can.
There are useful links to streamed services on the Free Church website:
this link takes you to Glasgow and Argyll, but on the menu bar you will see other areas.
Don't forget - we have a good library of sermons on this site!
Ayr & Kilwinning Free Church – SC038132
You should all know by now that all Church services and meetings have been cancelled for the foreseeable future. However, this does not mean that everything stops; the buildings need to be kept heated, insured and maintained which results in bills having to be paid. I am also waiting to hear from the Free Church offices about what is going to happen regarding the monthly remittances (this is the money we have to send to Edinburgh to cover Ministerial and administration costs even when the Church has no Minister). With this in mind it would be extremely helpful if you could continue to fill your weekly offering envelopes or better still if some of you could set up standing orders/transfer so that you can pay your offerings from your bank account directly into the Church’s one; this would cut down visits to the bank.
Unfortunately, there is no letter box at the Church to enable you to “post” your envelopes once they are filled. We can arrange some way of collecting them from you after the 3-week lockdown. With regards to standing orders/bank transfers these are easy to set up either weekly or monthly and can be cancelled at any time. I can give you the Church’s Bank Account details to enable you to set up a standing order or bank transfer; just email me.
I know that many of us will be affected financially due to the Coronavirus but every little bit helps: -
"Jesus sat down opposite the place where the offerings were put and watched the crowd putting their money into the temple treasury. Many rich people threw in large amounts. But a poor widow came and put in two very small copper coins, worth only a fraction of a penny. Calling his disciples to him, Jesus said, "I tell you the truth, this poor widow has put more into the treasury than all the others. They all gave out of their wealth; but she, out of her poverty, put in everything—all she had to live on." Mark 12:41-44
If you would like to have your weekly envelopes collected or picked up at a suitable place just send me an email – firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please do not hesitate to contact me by email or by phone (01292 441853) if you want to discuss things.
Hope everyone is keeping well.
