Who We Are
Our Minister - Rory Stott
Rory was born and grew up in South Africa. Having become a Christian as a young man, he came to Britain in February 2002. After spending brief times working in London and Manchester Rory travelled up to Scotland where he met Kirsteen, who was to become his wife. It was through her that he came to the Free Church of Scotland.
After they were married Rory and Kirsteen settled in Inverness. There he became involved with homeless people and those struggling with addictions. It was at that time that Rory began to feel God’s call to ministry. He studied at Highland Theological College and then at Free Church College (now Edinburgh Theological Seminary).
In 2012 Rory and Kirsteen moved to Ayr where he was ordained and inducted to the ministry of Ayr and Kilwinning Free Church. His hobbies are sport, wildlife and spending time with his wife and their dog Brodie.
